Wake Endoscopy Center and Raleigh Medical group has six board certified gastroenterologists and two physician assistants on staff. A brief introduction of each of our gastroenterologists and physician assistants is included here. Our physicians see patients with all digestive and liver diseases and perform all routine and advanced procedures including ERCP(endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (endoscopic ultrasound).


Ronald Schwarz, MD

Dr Schwarz joined Raleigh Medical Group in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale, his MD from Cornell and his Gastroenterology training at UNC-Chapel Hill. His photographic hobby is displayed on the walls of our Raleigh office. He is married and has one son and lives in Raleigh.


Subhash Gumber, MD

Dr Gumber joined the group in 1998. He received his PhD from Washington State University and his MD degree from
University of Massachusetts Medical School. He did his GI Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He is married, has 2 children, and lives in Cary.


Christopher Schwarz, MD

Dr Schwarz joined the group in October of 1998. He received his MD degree from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit. He did his Fellowship in GI at the Medical College of Virginia. He has 2 children and lives in Raleigh.


Michael Battaglino, MD

Dr Battaglino joined the group in July of 2000. He received his MD degree from New York Medical College and did his Fellowship in GI at Duke. He is married and has 3 children. He lives in Apex.


Neeraj Sachdeva

Dr Sachdeva joined the group in 2002. He received his degree in Medicine from New York Medical College and did his Gastroenterology Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is married with 2 children and lives in Raleigh
